Acupuncture: How It Restores the Body's Function

Acupuncture normalises brain and nervous system function, restoring control over all bodily processes — from immunity to metabolism.

The Body as a Holistic Structure

The human body is a holistic structure based on the interconnections between organs linked by the nervous system. Because of this, it has tremendous compensatory capabilities. However, damage to any organ always affects the state of all other organs, so treatment must always be comprehensive and aimed at restoring all bodily functions.

What Is Acupuncture?

The goal of acupuncture is to normalise (harmonise) brain function in controlling all bodily functions:

  • Psyche
  • Immunity
  • Metabolism
  • Internal organs
  • Musculoskeletal system

This is achieved through the natural stimulation of specific areas (points) that send a specific signal to the brain, similar to the way keys on a keyboard send a specific signal to a computer. An acupuncturist can be compared to an IT specialist who restores computer software using keys on a keyboard.

How Do Acupuncture Points Work?

Acupuncture points range in size from 1 mm to 20 mm. They are located at different depths, which is why acupuncture is the most convenient method of influencing them. The tip of the needle must hit the target, and the patient must feel it.

Needles have an additional effect: when inserted into an acupuncture point, they act like antennas, discharging excess positive charge. This phenomenon often precedes the development of many diseases and manifests as psycho-emotional and physical stress. This is why acupuncture has a calming and cooling effect.

The Cooling Effect of Acupuncture

The cooling effect is manifested by the fact that patients can better tolerate heat after an acupuncture session. This demonstrates the direct impact of the treatment on the nervous system and the restoration of the body’s thermoregulatory function.

Treatment Programme

A course of acupuncture includes at least 12 sessions. Its aim is to normalise the function of the entire body, focusing on the underlying condition.

The acupuncture we practise incorporates techniques from:

  • Ancient Greek Medicine
  • Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • Vietnamese methods
  • Korean techniques
  • Japanese acupuncture

Results

Acupuncture is successfully used for:

  • Headaches and migraines
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Chronic pain
  • Insomnia
  • Gastrointestinal disorders
  • Immunological problems
  • Neuralgias

Only through the combined use of acupuncture with other methods (chiropractic, Atlas therapy) can permanent positive results in the treatment of diseases be achieved.
